Peak District Holiday Cottages
High Peak Holiday Cottage is a small family run business which offers a self-accommodated flat within the National Peak Park for people wishing to have short breaks, the cottage is located within a semi-rural area and overlook's the garden's and countryside. We offer the perfect location to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it is ideal for holidaymakers looking for self catering accommodation, ideal for short term rental to walkers or cycling breaks within Britain.
The cottage is situated in Tintwistle, Derbyshire, which is one of the many fine villages in the High Peak region of Derbyshire's Peak District. We are close to Glossop and Greater Manchester, the holiday cottage is run by Steve (my husband) and me (Annette).
We offer free public parking in a private off road car park, within a short walking distance you will reach the Trans Pennine trail, the Pennine Way and the Longendale trail, this makes High Peak Cottage an ideal location to walk or cycle, Tintwistle boasts village pubs, 17th and 18th Century cottages and the wonderful Bottoms Reservoir.
We currently operate a "No Smoking" Policy within the cottage but have cigarette butt containers outside the cottage door.
Numerous scenic walks radiate from the village and the many attractions of the National Park can be enjoyed from the doorstep of this Peak District cottage.
Nearby Glossop offers a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs together with an 18 hole golf course, whilst the nearby spa town of Buxton, with its majestic gardens and architecture offers a lovely day out.
The cottage is set in a romantic part of the Peak District and offers the ideal retreat for that relaxing break.
Note: The property is accessed via steps from the car parking area only, unless otherwise agreed by the owner. Access to the bedroom is via spiral stairs and therfore may not be suitable to children or the less mobile so caution is advised before booking as care must be taken.
